Rosmidahanim Razali

Rosmidahanim’s (b.1988) artworks are based on printmaking techniques such as etching, her primary interest and medium. When she paints, she paints in realism, also exploring silkscreen, woodcut and digital print. To get the best line quality in her etchings, she can spend up to 3 weeks to get a result she is satisfied with.

Her lecturer Ilse Noor, one of Malaysia’s most prominent printmakers, is her inspiration. She considers her work on a public mural at Bandar Kinrara as a milestone in her artistic journey. Rosmidahanim feels that not many people are interested in art, and she wishes to create awareness about it. She enjoys being able to produce and draft out her inspirations; though others may not understand her but they can understand through her art.

With the ambition to be an art teacher, Rosmidahanim also intends to form an art group with friends to initiate public efforts.
